- 16. Miscellaneous
- 16.1 Edgware is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff, applicants and clients to share this commitment. Some roles that Edgware introduce applicants to may involve work with under 18’s or vulnerable adults. Any appointment to such roles will be made subject to strict vetting and screening checks and receipt of a satisfactory enhanced DBS check.
- 16.2 Edgware acts as an Employment Agency (perm) and an Employment Business (temp/contract))
- 16.3 For the avoidance of doubt, separate Terms and Conditions govern the relationship between Edgware and Clients (T&C’s for the Introduction of Staff), Edgware and applicants (Applicant Terms), temp assignments (Supply of Technical Services) and the use of our Timesheet Management System (TMS Terms and Conditions)
- 16.4 Edgware must comply with requirements set out in the Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses Regulations 2003 (as amended from time to time) (the Conduct Regulations) and the Employment Agencies Act 1973 (the "Act"). No breaches of the Conduct Regulations and the Act will be tolerated by Edgware.
- 17. Governing law
- 17.1 These terms are subject to English law and to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
- 18. OfCom Compliance
- 18.1 Calls to our 0345 phone numbers will be charged at your standard network rate for calls to landlines. Please check with your telecoms supplier for the exact charges that apply and any variation to these related to the time the call is made.
- 18.2 Calls to our 0845 phone numbers for private customers could cost 5 pence per minute plus your telephone company's access charge. You should check with your telecoms supplier for exact charging rates.
